Traditionally, the issues we face, such as climate change, international conflict, and scarcity of resources, have been studied in a social science context. However, neuroscience, psychology, and other behavioral and cognitive sciences have established themselves as relevant in explaining the role of human agency in these issues.
That said, Bridges is a media project of transdisciplinarity; through its choice in selected media, the site aims at highlighting a relevant link between social and behavioral studies which, in doing so, may synthesize interdisciplinary ideas and aid in the design of actionable solutions.
Therefor, Bridges operates primarily as an aggregator (but by no means exhaustive) in news and other media relating to the social and behavioral sciences and how they co-relate in the social issues we face. Occasionally the site will post original work of the editors consisting of opinion pieces.
